Ever since I have been aware of myself, my path has been that of self-knowledge, it has taken me from my birthplace in Romania to Israel and then to South-Africa, and so, in my teenage years I came into contact with various cultures and beliefs which I adopted, discarded and then adopted again in an eclectic form.
When I was about 13, I saw an Andy Warhol exhibition in Venice. Till this day I don't know what has impressed me so much about it, of maybe about his life, but I know is that when I stepped out of that Venezian Pallazo and rested on the stairs looking down on some odd smelling canal, I knew that this is what I wanted to do. My feeling was that I have wished for many lifetimes to be an artist and now I will get the chance to live that life.
I rushed back to South-Africa and got accepted to the Johannesburg Art, Ballet, Drama and Music School. After high-school I moved into the Ciskey jungle but 1989 came along with all those changes in Eastern Europe, and I decided to come home.
So, here I was again in my hometown, I attended the college of fine arts for 6 years studying sculpture. Got married, pregnant, divorced, had my (now 11 year old) son, graduated, started my career and after a few years got married to a wonderful, mature man, fulfilled all my earthly dreams and every day seems a new beginning.
I started having exhibitions right after finishing my studies and also started studying many other things stress management and hypnotherapy in London, astrology, antroposophy, downsing, tao, etc, which I used as themes for my shows.
After a month long visit to the Kabbalah Center in London in 2004, my work was inspired by this knowledge and I am currently still working on renderring this ancient wisdom into meaningful shape in bronze.
However, my heart belongs to Orthodox Christiany where I found an endless well of wisdom and love, and my true home.
